Well, it is now official, I ma no longer a designer for Do Crafts. I have thought long and hard about hanging up my apron and in view of recent and difficult circumstances some of which you have probably read in Mad Month, I have decided it is for the best.
I have enjoyed demonstrating to many fellow crafters over the last 3 years or so and I hope to see some of you around and about. I am not giving it all up although 95% of my stash is to go! Aaargh! Where do I start?

Mad Month!
Sorry! I know it has been ages but the story of my last few months goes like this............
one cold Tuesday morning (9th December to be exact) I popped up to Sedgeley to get some Calpol for my little on Joel as he looked a little peaky. Nothing major and no temperature so I thought wrap him up and pop to the shop just in case he gets worse later on.
That was fine, he was good as gold in the buggy round until I stood outside my friend's shop to looka tht ey toys with my nephew who was also with us, I looked down at Joel and thought to myself, my god his hands are purple he must be freezing.........I walked round to the front in what seemed like slow motion and his eyes were like glass and he was twitching...........he was fitting right there and then in fron tof my etes. I scooped my nephew under my arm and almost kicked the door of the shop down as I screamed for some one to call an ambulance, I took JOel out of the buggy and lay him down. A customer in the shop cane to my aid nad took over with Joel as the sheer panic set in. I thought I was going to lose him. To all parents out there who have ever experienced this will know exactly what I mean.
Within minutes the ambulance had arrived and the fit had subsided, he was stripped off and the cause of the fit was found to be a temperature of 39.9C. From leaving my house to being on that ambulance only 45mins had passed.
Into A&E next and a chest X-Ray - Clear.
Childrens Ward, Urine sample (not nice for little boys, well how would you like a bag stuck fast to your bits tucked inside a nappy then ripped off when it was full?) - Clear.
What the hell was wrong with my baby? His temperature kept rocketing and falling and they just could not find the cause.
Blood Test next, they could not find a vein, they tried 2 different dr's and finally they got some - Clear.
I cannot take much more of this.
Thursday came and after the Dr visited int he evening his breathing was awful, he kept coughing ang everytime he breathed out he grunted.
The Dr explained that they would do one more Chest Xray and if that was clear he needed a lumbar puncture, I burst into tears thinking I could not stand that and all I could see flashing inside my head was my baby has Meningitis.
I prayed so hard that the Xray would show something and my prayers were answered.
He had a severe Left Lower Lobe Pneumonia no wonder he could not breathe. He was then put on a drip, oxygen and Intra-venous Antibiotics.
We stayed in for another 3 nights and were then allowed to bring him home.
I managed to just about do Christmas but with a child who cannot be taken to shopping centres, supermarkets or any crowded place it was a challenge, thank god for Merry Hill Shopping Centre being open til midnight the week before Christmas!
I have to be careful now as Joel may fit when he has a fever up until he is 6. I haven't slept properly for weeks and I don't think I ever will!
Things have had to change over the last month or so, I have handed my crop over to one of the regulars and my inspiration and interest in craft is dwindling, something I hope will return.
On a lighter note I have reached my target weight loss of 2stone and feel loads better in myself.
I wish you all a happy healthy New Year

Wow! Information Overload!
Crazy week or what?!
I absolutely love this new job! It is so interesting and I cannot believe how easily I have slipped straight back into full time work! The system we use is a dream and I love love love it!
The girls and guys I work with are fabulous and I feel like a new woman!
Not much time for scrapbooking or card making although I have a few projects that are nearly done and will pop some pics on here early next week as I am working all weekend at Gardenlands Bridgnorth Road for Do Crafts. Come say hi!
Take care and Jo if you are reading this I promise to get round to my tag soon!

Weekend Madness
I have had a mega busy weekend folks!
Simon, my dearest hubby left for the weekend to enjoy a lads break to Butlins Minehead.
He had a whale of a time and to be fair even though juggling a crop, housework and 2 young boys at the weekend was tough, sleeping in the middle of a double bed with no snoring pretty much topped off a fabulous weekend!
I took the boys, and my parents to Sandwell Park Farm, literally 15 mins from my house, I never knew this place existed until Mum's friend told me, it was fab! There were a litter of piglets (born 28th June, Jake's Birthday!) 4 in total and they were the cutest tings I have ever seen. I could have just stolen one there and then. Don't get me started on the little calf we saw too!
If you are ever down this way go visit, it is lovely, only small but very beautiful. (£1.50 per adult under5's free!) It is an old restored farmhouse and there is an exhibition there too telling you all about Sandwell and how it became inhabited all those years ago.
So here are a couple of pics of those pigs, and my very own litter driving the bus!
Hope your weekend was as lovely as mine!

Happy Birthday Noah!
Over here is Steph's blog, her little boy Noah is 3 today and I want to wish him a very Happy Birthday!
I made and sent a card (ON TIME!!!!!!!!!!) and thought I would share a pic now I know he has opened it....well I wouldn't want to ruin the surprise would I? It even has moving parts! The wheels go round and the scoop is on a movable arm!
He is a gorgeous boy and will just love anything to do with diggers etc just ask his mum!
I am very busy over the next dew weeks so will apologise for the shortness of the post and for the probable lack of info over the next few!
Happy Crafting! Keep checking though there might be some blog candy soon!

Nearly there!
I am well on my way to a few things this month and next!
Sorry it has been an absolute age since I last poste but time really is flying past me at the moment!
I really enjoyed the demo at The Range in Telford swiftly followed by Mountain Ash's 1st Birthday celebration! I hope that the whole weekend was fantastic for you guys over in the Vineyard!
I am slowly preparing myself for Wednesday when my Jake is off to Nursery. I am sure that I will cry bucket loads but will wait til he has gone throught the door before I start! There i
s a little pic on this post to show you just how cute he looks! Will miss you buddy!
I am preparing also for a demo on Saturday 6th September at Gadsby's Walsall (link on the right). I have an abundance of yummy new product and yet more to come! Can't wait to show people just how cute some new lines really are!
Then yet another demo on 20th September for The Range in Telford, then back to Mountain Ash on 27th!
My new job with NHS Direct also starts on 22nd September, I have to train FULL TIME for 4 weeks, now for a girl who hasn't done a 9-5 for nearly 3 years now I am really going to feel the strain. It will be worth it though as after training I am hoping to cover 3 shifts in the unsociable hours, not because I am miserable, just the kinda girl who likes to be a mum!
Phew, somewhere in there I might do that thing called breathing?! Tried it? I heard it's quite good for you!
Scary thought though is that after that we are into October, I am eagerly awaiting the Gardenlands Craft Weekend, I may see some faces that I recognise from the crafting circuit and hopefully we will all have a ball!
Then it's the big one.......................the retreat is nearly upon us! I am soooooooo excited to go on the retreat and I am teaching a little class too which also excites me! I have a few projects I want to get done too and definitely want to experience some other classes that will be going on!
Well I must go craft some more and start breathing deep and being brave for Wednesday afternoon! Wish me luck!
